Hey y’all!! Just bought an ‘05 1500 5.7 HEMI 2 wheel lifted and I have a check gages light on. It’s on because the volt meter on the cluster is all the way to the left like it isn’t reading anything. And I have no issues starting or with electrical power. Any ideas on how to proceed?

check the battery , have it tested and the alternator as well ,,you can run a cluster test,,get in shut the door an hold the trip reset button in an turn the key on do not start, after that let off the button and it should run a self test on the cluster and see if all gauges go through the test properly

I’ll try the cluster test that’s a cool trick. The battery and alternator are good...

So I just tried this and I got c-code b7 01... and the volt meter cycled all the way through... what does that mean?

well your gauge is ok for one since it cycled , are you sure it was b7 ? the other two digits are just key cycle and if problem is gone then after 100 cycles code clears

Are you sure about battery an alt ? Also check all grounds . clean all and make sure of being tight an secure at battery and all places on were grounds wires are attached to inner fender an any other place you are aware of

Thanks for sharing this. I should’ve posted that I’ve run across this several times. But, I don’t see a b7 code....
