Good Afternoon All,

Curious how many others may have run into this? I have a 2016 Ram 1500 5.7 with 86,000 miles. Recently I have been having a burning oil smell when I come to a stop. No oil leaks on the ground noticed or on bottom of motor. After digging I found a small amount of oil by the intake manifold/plenum. Took to a mechanic and dug in thinking possible gaskets. After being apart it appears the plastic plenum/manifold is warped and coming apart and causing leak. Contacted Mopar parts and they are selling 97 units a week and are on backorder. Anyone else had this issue? Seems like should be a recall from FCA if they are selling that many a week, Sounds like a them issue. Thoughts?

So to Update, Replaced the intake Plenum as that was leaking oil. Still had the burning oil smell coming into the cab. After a month found a broken exhaust manifold bolt and the heat had burned out the corner of the Valve cover gasket. Replaced both exhaust manifold and valve cover gasket and no more burning oil smell
