think this is what i am gonna get. what you think? probably need a couple more pieces of pipe and a couple couplers but i can get those from the local parts store.

cxracing.com: 31x12x3 inch Universal Intercooler + 2.5" DIY Piping Kit

Overall Length: 30.75", Core Length:23.5", Height:11.5", Overall Height:11.75"
Compress Air Flow Rate:<700Cubic Feet/Min, Rated to600-800 Max HP
Working Pressure:5~50PSI
Pressure Drop:2~5psi@35psi; 0.2~0.5psi@15psi
Hot Air Temperature:32°F~302°F (0°C~150°C)
Material:100% Aluminum, Tube and Fin Design, Polished
Construction: Machine Cut and Stamped, Hand Welded
Net Weight:19lbs

I've used these is some builds in the past for others.. It's actually quite decent. The cores are of good size, and the flows are decent. The piping is thin, but plenty efficient. My only recommendation is use different couplers and clamps, as the ones in the kits are usually garbage. Just examine them prior to use, and you'll be able to tell if they're quality or crap. :)
The silicone couplers should be thick, wrapped style, and threaded core design (for strength.) The clamps should even "feel" like they're worth something. t-bolt clamps aren't light, like a standard worm-gear clamp, unless they're poor quality material.

WTF does RPM have to do with intercooler size? :slap:

Let me answer that: Nothing..

It's psi capability, flow-rate, efficiency, and psi drop.

Flowrate is engine displacement x RPM / 3456 without going further into air density calculations. But whatever, good luck OP. I'm not wasting any more of my time.

Sure, I could throw formulas around as well, but that can be for another thread.
IC flowrate is completely irrelevant to engine displacement, when you start speaking flowrates. The flowrate of the Turbo is what counts. As for the engine's air, if you're dealing with exhaust components, headwork, etc., then yes, your above formula is relevant.

I didn't mean to sound harsh in my original post, so if you took it that way, I apologize. I was just surprised that someone with the truck you appear to have, wouldn't have made that type of statement.

per Tapatalk on my EVO

cool deal.. I think it'll work out just fine for you, especially with the (relative) lower boost levels. Although, I've used that kit on a 20+psi Merkur XR4Ti (2.3L)

If you decide to buy a WBO2, let me know. I've got an Innovate LC-1 that I've got no use for anymore (left over from my Subaru Tuning days). I think I still have some AutoMeter gauges (fuel pressure w/sensor, trans temp, and something else; I'll have to go look.)

I think it may be a vac/boost..
