Yesterday evening I locked the truck with the little push button on the handle. Early this morning I noticed my truck was unlocked. I opened the door to make sure I hadn't been robbed and all the lights and horn went off. I'm positive the doors were locked when I went in for the evening. I didn't have my keys in the pocket this morning when I saw the door unlocked.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Mine do not always lock but I have yet to see them unlock like that. Strange that you are having that problem.

Yeah I thought that might be the issue...but I remember the door locking...and the horn sounding. Maybe the "unlock" button on the key fob was accidentally pressed...but that wouldn't explain why the alarm sounded.

There have been several times that I used that button and I SWEAR the truck locked only to come back to find it unlocked.

I don't use it anymore.

I notice sometimes if I push the button on the handle to lock it, it will make the locking noise and flash the lights but won't actually lock. So I always just pay attention to that before I walk away (in my case, it seems if I give it a second or two after closing the door it works fine, as oppose to hitting the button immediately), but that being said, I've never come back to it unlocked randomly like that. Are you sure they actually locked when you hit the button, as in visual confirmation with the locks themselves?

Same experience here too. It’s a nice feature...that I don’t trust as my truck automatically unlocks after 10 minutes if I use the button on the handle to lock it. I never have this problem when locking with the remote.

I've started using the remote instead of the handle button. Haven't had a repeat experience. I know the horn beeped when I hit the button...but I didn't check the lock itself.

Might want to check that out for curiosity's sake, I would bet that the horn beeped but the doors didn't actually lock at that time. I never had a problem using the remote to lock my older trucks but have now gotten used to just having the fob in my pocket and never taking it out, so the proximity feature has been nice. Until I figured out that little quirk though I was about to go to using the fob again, cause there's no way I was going to take a chance on it just unlocking randomly. I still visually confirm they go down each time using the handle though, just for my own peace of mind.
