I’ve thought about the rotella gas truck 5w30, but not for my ram 6.4, I might dump it into my wife Pacifica pentastar 3.6, which specs 0w20. In the USA they always go with the thinnest oil for fuel economy, but most of these engines see much thicker oil in foreign countries.
This truck already gets poor fuel economy, why go thinner when you can get a thicker 40 weight oil that will protect better? My work truck 2016 Chevy 2500 6.0 gets nothing but 15w40 Dino and those trucks run flawless for 150k before they are sold.
My truck has been on a steady diet of PUP 0w40 winter, Mobil delvac 5w40 in summer. It runs quieter with the delvac.
