I have a 2012 R/T and as you know it comes with the 7in uconnect and the evic cluster. I have a parts truck with all of the wiring for a 2013. Would I be able to install the 8.4 uconnect and 7in premium cluster if I change the wiring and bcm from the 2013 into my r/t? I have not found much on this topic and wanted to know before I go all in.

Is the parts truck an R/T along with your truck being an R/T?

The 7inch EVIC I don't think will swap over as, please someone correct me if i'm wrong, that the way the truck talks with everything changed in 2013. That being the case, the 2012 instrument cluster talks a different language than the 2013+ instrument cluster. Even if you were to just change the BCM, you'd need pretty much the entire wiring and all the modules from the 2013 and put them in your 2012 for it to work. I'm doing a similar project with my 2014, swapping an 8 speed in, and I can't use anything pre 2013 as they don't mix and match nor talk to each other.

If you wanna sell the door panels from that 2013, or any other parts, PM me and lets work something out :)

As mentioned above, all the wiring harnesses and vehicle modules would need to be changed as they're completely different in the '09-'12 from the +'13 trucks.
Not to say it can't be done but the amount of time and money involved will be a lot.

unless you want to basically swap in every little module from the 13 and wiring its a no. on a 12 idk why you would want the 8.4 when you could get a double din aftermarket unit and and it look like it belongs unlike the 13 ups. thats actually the one thing i dont like better on the inside of a 13 up. i like the 12s simple dash more.
