It’s just my luck that I managed to tear at least one wire in half while pulling cable for an inverter install. Don't ask why I didn't use the empty hole beside it :emotions122:

The break is inside the firewall rubber boot where all the wires go through.

Any idea what this wire might be for? I know there’s a ton of wires but worth a shot.

All systems seem to be working normally. Air suspension, all window controls, all locks, all lights (interior and hi/lo beams, signals), wipers/sprayers, all steering wheel functions, remote start, sunroof/rear slider and HomeLink controls, heated and cooled seats.

I've scanned every module with AlfaOBD and cleared all codes. Will continually monitor these and see if anything new pops up. Is there an easy was to get access in that grommet so I can repair the wire or at least see what it is and run a new one?

2017 Ram 1500 Sport CC 4x4 w/ every option except trailer brake module if it matters.

Thanks

I’m suspecting the wire has something to do with the built in LED bed lighting. I couldn’t get them to turn on today. It also has 12V on it whenever the interior lights are supposed to be on such as after grabbing the door handle or unlocking the truck.

Is there any way to remove the grommet so I can make the repair? I don’t really want to push another wire through that grommet because I don’t want to risk damaging another wire.

Thanks
