Hey all,
I believe this to be possible but I thought I'd see if anyone else has already tackled it based on how limited light selection can be between factory projector setups and quad/dual setups.
Is there already a harness or setup to allow a factory projector to convert to a quad/dual setup to allow the use of this light in my 14 ram 1500:

I really like these lights and would like to run them in my truck.
Any helpful info would be awesome

I know this is a little old but it should definitely be possible. I’m in the middle of making my own harness for quad to projector, you would just need the mating connectors of the ones I’m using. Give me a little bit and I’ll try to get you some part numbers. Here’s my harness, just waiting on some stupid rubber wire seals to connect all the small connectors and then I’ll be done.

Here are the parts you need for a harness. I would also suggest some 20 gauge wire.

3-969871-1 - male projector connector
2-964300-1 - male 2.8 terminals
964269-2 - male 1.6 terminals
964972-1 - 1.6 seal
963294-1 - 2.8 seal
963531-1 - 1.6 plug
828922-1 - 2.8 plug
15336809 - 3 way female connector
15326808 - 3 way female connector
15326264 - female terminals
1536621 - seal

Doughrat, I’m actually looking at converting my truck from quad halogens to projectors now. Once I connect them, can I switch the DRL’s from the high beam circuit to the parking light circuit with AlfaODB ?

I believe you can but I’d have to go back and check the options. Before I did my swap I had my DRLs set as my fog lamps. I know there are a few options you can choose from on where you want the DRLs.

If I am reading this correctly…the harness you are building is to allow installation of quad headlights into a factory projector harness, right?? I’m looking into this because I am removing my factory projectors to install quad reflector housings that are being custom built with projectors. This looks like what I’m looking for

So this harness isn’t specific to the alpharex? If that’s the case, it will work for my project of removing factory projectors to install custom quad projectors
Alpharex headlights are just "custom" style quad headlight, nothing specific about the adapter. There should be a dedicated DRL output wire on the harness also. The dedicated DRLs can be enabled with AlfaOBD and you can even have a setting on the radio to turn them On/Off

The harness I built was to go from quad to projector but I will be working on a projector to quad harness is the near future. I use Alfaobd when I make updates to my truck so I wanted to make a harness that doesn’t have resistors. You don’t need resistors if you update the settings on your truck with Alfaobd. Any harness you try to buy from a company has the resistors built right in, I didn’t want that.

Were you able to do this with the adapter he posted? Going from projector back to basic quads?
