IMG_0597.JPG View media item 25594View media item 25594Was just on another thread about mirrors, which made me go out to the truck to grab my window sticker.
When I chose the trailer tow group, I knew I was getting the larger mirrors. What surprised me when I got home, is that I don't have power fold away, and I'm pretty sure they don't have memory. Before I get pissed, is it me? If you look at my sticker, you can see where these items are mentioned.

Sticker says manual fold away, on the previous generation it power folded only on the 2500’s because they had a support bracket internal of the door. Some guys add this bracket then have the dealer program the truck to make them power fold as well. All this depends on the controls

could you post a pic of the driver door controls?

Easiest way to add a picture is click the “upload a file” button that’s next to post reply at the bottom

Don't want to mess up with with the pics again, lol. But I definitely don't have that extra button between the mirror control and the window switches. But if you look on the column of options on the right side of the sticker, it states power folding mirrors beneath power heated mirrors.

Pretty sure there was a thread about this where a bunch of stickers were printed wrong showing mirrors that were not on the truck or available

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the responses. My 5th Ram, always loyal to the brand and my dealer. Almost defected to the F-150. (Funny how the Ford guys STARE at this truck on the road) Just finished my first thousand miles, and I have to tell you, it drives better than our A6. Comfortable, fast, and no need for exhaust mods like my last 2. Engineers managed to pipe in a nice exhaust note that was totally absent in previous generations.
In your opinions, what would be my next course of action? Would rather have the power folding, heated, memory mirrors in lieu of a check from FCA. If they made a mistake, I'm OK with that.

Power Folding Tow mirrors are not available as an option on the 1500s, at least they were not on the 4th gen trucks and I believe that is still true on the 5th gens. You can get either power folding regular mirrors or manual folding tow mirrors from the factory. If your truck would have power folders normally and you get the tow mirror option from the factory, you loose the power fold option.

For a 4th Gen the trick was to order power folding mirrors from the factory so you had the controls, door modules and all the BCM options, then swap the support brackets and power folding tow mirrors from a 2500 onto the truck (as all the mirrors were the same fit). If you didn't have power folders from the factory you also needed to swap out the switch panel and both door modules. I did the later on my '14 Express to get Power Folding Tow Mirrors.

Now, since there is no 5th Gen 2500 yet, I'm not sure what you can do for your truck. Unless the mirrors on the 5th gen trucks are the same as the 4th gen ones?

Personally I don’t like the tow mirrors, but looking at the window sticker, looks like you paid a up-charge for the tow mirrors. Everything in the level 2 equipment group comes with everything listed, unless you upgrade something like tow mirrors. I don’t see anything wrong with your window sticker.

You added IV receiver hitch on the tow group then added it again in the 25Z package, did you pay for that twice?

Awwwwwwwww man, the trickery of window stickers. My 2018 said mine were manual on the option list, but yet i have power folding mirrors.
Another hit-n-miss with chrysler. I would call chrysler out on their mistake and make them put the power fold away mirrors on your truck.
You paid for the premium, you should be getting what you paid for. Just my own opinion anyway. And YES, i`d be pissed as well.

See that’s what’s getting me as I want to order solely a couple of things. But based upon my read you really have to be careful with those tow mirrors. Those are not want I need/want.

It also shows you have dual exhaust with black tips on the left side and then chrome tips on the right.... so do you have 4 tips??? They make window stickers so tough to figure out.

Lol. Black tips. Spoke to my dealer this morning, as well as the FCA Rep. Seems that there are discrepancies between the stickers/ orders and the actual trucks. I'm confident that they'll make it right. In discussions now with them as my Marina where I work is looking to purchase a 2500 Cummins for hauling, and possibly a small Ram van for service. I guess that can't hurt in me trying to get this resolved. Regardless, I'll try to post anything of interest to the forum to assist anyone else out there who might have a similar issue. Either way, this truck is awesome. Driving dynamics between 4th gen and this are a mile apart. Can't say enough about this one! (As you guys can prob see, lol)

Nice truck and keep us posted on the mirror resolution! I've got one on order just to get the power folding mirrors...an identical truck but with the trailer tow package is on the ground nearby...
