Is it safe to use a split OBD plug?

I have a 2009 TRX4 with 5.7hemi. I'd like to use a performance chip but I'm already using my diagnostic port to run my electronic trailer brake controller. Is it safe to use a splitter (two into one) plug and run both?

I would ask the chip supplier and get their answer in writing. No idea if that would work but I would be very cautious of trying that.
