That with an open differential, when you burn out one tire after the water pit, pause, pull up a little bit, then try another burnout, the other wheel will burnout? Meaning that i can light up both tires on 2 back to back burnouts?

I haven't seen this. With traction, only 1 tire should turn.

Old drag racing tip, if you're running a 2 wheel drive truck with an "A" arm style front suspension,is to back the top shock mount nut off as far as you can on the front shocks,to help with weight transfer.
Might not make any differance, but doesn't cost anything,so usually worth trying once at least.
Air your front tires up by 10% over reconmended tire pressure on the tire, not the pressure listed on the door.
Drop the rear tires by the same amount.
Try not to use the brakes hard coming out of the water box,the hotter the pads are,the more friction they create when initially released on launch.
You want the launch as free as you can get it,once a tire starts spinning it's hard to get that initial traction back

Right rear is the one that normally breaks loose first due to the way torque is transferred through the spiders. the only way that the other tire will spin is if there is more traction on the other side. Doing a one wheel burnout heats that tire up, softening the compound, which increases traction. So it's possible that theory would work on drag tires. If you want to get the left to spin: do a slow roll into the box while turning left then hold the brakes then gas. This will transfer some weight to the right. DISCLAIMER:
If you do it wrong, both tires will spin and if you are still leaning right, you'll end up doing donuts!

(Sturgis Dragway is 20 min from me; been there many time in a variety of vehicles.)

The gas tank is on the Left side, you need weight on the right rear.
