Sometimes being persistent and greasing that squeaky wheel does help.

✊ Knock on wood ✊, the AC in mine has been great. We're on the tail end of a week long heatwave with temps in the mid to upper 90's with no joke 80+% humidity and I actually had to turn down the AC in my 21 BTS. With that said, most TSB's will not get fixed unless the customer complains about it or the tech is in there for something else. I know what's involved with taking the dash out and most indy shops, IF they will tackle it will charge you crazy money because of the labor involved. Since there is a TSB on it I would start by going to the dealer to see what they say about it. You'll probably have to show them the TSB and put up a little stink about it but at least see what they say.

The design was "fixed" starting with MY21 so hopefully it actually resolved the issue moving forward.
One can only hope, LOL...

The vent temperature on my '21 Warlock was measuring 32F two days ago. That sounds functional to me.

Keep in mind that the outlet temperature is dependent on the ambient temperate and for the performance test the engine must be operating at 1000 RPM.

Excellent!

Do you have the same chart showing the temp while the recirculate setting is engaged?

No, and I've never seen one that does. The performance test checks the systems ability to cool incoming ambient air, which validates the efficiency of the system. Checking with the system in recirculation would not be a valid test since as the interior cools down the system will continue to pull down the temperature.

Here's my experience. Bought my 2019 in Jan.2019. When it warmed up, off to the dealer I went with poor cooling AC. Dealer said that the wrong tag put under hood that shows ac charge, charged the system and it cooled better but not great. Lowest vent temps I ever get is 50 deg regardless of out side temps. All vents show about the same. The new freon R1234yf, is junk in my simple mind. Dealer also said they found 4 more 2019's on lot with the wrong tag. I think 2019 was the 1st year they used that freon. Noticed some reported temps in the 30's, maybe they improved the system. Pic of tag below shows what they changed the charge to.

99.9% of A/C warm air complaints is low refrigerant. My 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT finally needed a few ounces after 24 years. It was easy to top off as it had a sight glass. Don’t know if my Ram has one or not… chances not so you need to get yourself A/C gauges to read the pressures or go to an A/C shop & let them check out your system.

Had the TSB done a few months ago (on the fourth visit they finally agreed to do the TSB). Night and day difference.

Before the A/C was only able to keep the cab cool if it was 70F outside (sunny) or 75F (overcast). Now I have to turn the A/C down at 95F outside otherwise it gets too cold.

Probably nothing since he was hiding in the back office "working". Had his fill of crow for the day. ;)

He didn't say anything other than he was glad that they could finally fix it.

My dealership is down to the Service Manager, one Service Advisor, and an assistant/cashier. They are the only one in the area that I trust with my truck and I think others feel the same way as they are always booked.

I don't know if it was a different tech or if they figured out how to write it up better I'm not sure. They have one guy that is good at this TSB and I may have gotten him this time around. For whatever reason, though, I'll take it.

R1234yf goes back years. My '18 uses it, and apparently Dodge started the switch over as early as 2014.

do you recall when almost every vehicle had this set up
It went in the water supply line that passes through the firewall & goes to the HVAC unit

I always thought about a slightly different valve

1687852230748.png
This type would allow normal flow into the heater, but you could change the flow to bypass the heater & return the flow back to the return line to the radiator.

Just a thought that i keep having

I tried two versions of the pneumatic one in my last truck and they both leaked. I ended up with a ball valve in the supply line as my final solution for that truck (Ford F-250).

Although that worked great I wasn't interested in having to go under the hood to make temp changes for this truck. I'm glad I pushed for the TSB until it was done. The results were night and day.
