Is there any way to easily take off the speed limiter

It shuts off at about 105 miles an hour do they make an inexpensive way to lift it to maybe 120 I would feel comfortable on straight aways at that speed

I had a tuner on my avalanche it removed the speed limiter it was like three or four hundred dollars and this is like 10 years ago

The tuners for the 15's are about $1000. I assume the 16's are going to be the same. You have to either buy a new PCM or send yours in to have it unlocked before you can load a tune and/or have a custom tune installed.

You can double check with Matt at Moe's Performance to make sure about the tuners for the 16's.

You know, I saw your Nintendo cheat code for Contra and IMMEDIATELY called BS. It's not correct and I can't believe that my 40-something year old brain remembered that pattern so vividly. It's B then A then start....not A then B then start.

If I can send in my pcm to be unlocked, how much does that cost? I can wait to get it back because my truck sits all winter and for days and even weeks in the summer. I just don't feel like paying for a new pcm so I haven't got a tuner yet.

Diablo charges $200-$250 if you send your PCM in to be unlocked. Only downside to this is that you dont have a stock PCM to put back in if you ever need to take the truck to the dealership for service.

Careful, once you go for an after-market tune with Matt and Sean you will wake up a year later with a light wallet but a very fun truck to drive that gives you a **** grin on your face every day
