I am getting this repaired Friday, but wondering if anyone else has this issue? It is almost impossible to avoid putting pressure on this part of the seat when getting in and out of the truck. Seat was like this when I purchased, had them take $200 off from purchase. Will cost $125.

Year/milage?

Sounds like you bought it used. My guess is prior owner was heavier and did a lot of sliding in and out.

After my first new truck seat wearing out there at about 130k miles i have made it more of a point to try and lift up over that area when getting in and out. My current trucks (a ‘17 and ‘16, one leather one cloth, both around 125k miles) both look pretty good there so far, but i am in a habit of being pretty mindful of sliding across it.

Darn, yeah... the PO may have been bigger. Dont know. I'm around 175lbs. I will have to develop an entry and exit angle. That was what I disliked about the Tacoma i had...you had to adjust your knees just to get in it.

It should be a lot easier to get into than a tacoma haaa. Much more room.

I have never liked the way that they sew that particular Seat Seam.

I think it should be more like the seam on blue jeans legs.
It looks more like a Blanket Edge seam, where no stress is ever tested on it
