It would be quite easy to bypass the stupid tipm if it is the problem, and not just a wire or plug problem.
You could run a fused , switched wire to that cck from the battery, I would use a relay if I was doing it, so it would come on when you turn on the truck lights.
It could be hooked up to one of the truck tail lights at the rear, but I don't know if the computer would not like that, you could try it and see what happens.
If you got a code, them hook up a relay and run a wire back from the battery that feeds the relay that is controlled by the tail lights or clearance lights.
