I can officially report to the forum members that winter is here. Yesterday we had the coldest morning since the end of last winter and started my truck and heard a ding and show on the dash that all 4 tires were low on air !!!

Oh well, spring will eventually come. :bawl:

Hey I got the low pressure ding this week too! It was 61 degrees on Monday morning. Apparently a 30 degree ambient temperature drop will lower your tires a few pounds lol.

The tires loosing air pressure is one of the biggest PITAes that I hate about winter.

It's down to 17*F here the past two mornings, and a few inches of snow. Kind of nice to have remote start after years of going out to start my vehicle and letting it defrost for a few minutes.

There's no way I could leave the house if it was any where near that cold here. It finally felt like fall here in Tampa but only before the sun came out. Cozy 75F here now

Reading these post, found myself waffling between "I hate you" - "I pity you."

Oh well could be worse, at least Iowa is not North Dakota or Canada.
I truly do pity you guys,. Should close it down, end of July and open again, end of June.
Rest of the year, it is too darn cold.

No snow yet. We've had accumulating snow before, doesn't stay though.

I haven't been on mine for nearly 3 weeks. But not just because of weather. I'm cutting /splitting wood. So I have a choice ride or cut. I heat with wood so it's a priority.

I remember the days of splitting firewood... even somewhat fondly. Did it for a living for a few pointers. It will get you on shape like nothing else.

Now I'm fat and old and have one of the kids adjust the thermostat... ;)

Edit: Also... NOTHING better than a wood fire on a cold winters day.
