I am looking into a tuner after doing the headers I've been checking out some not really sure which one to go with yet I already installed a magnaflow catback & S&B caiThen you can't go wrong with JBAs ceramic coated shorties unless you want to later on go with a custom tune with long tube headers .. that will surely keep you busy lol ....

Then I wouldn't go with shorty headers ... long tube headers with a tuner are
But im not sure if I want a tuner but I will consider your suggestionThen I wouldn't go with shorty headers ... long tube headers with a tuner are better
I guess when moes opens up I'll have alot of questions for Matt he seems to be very knowledgeable also
I was emailing with nick this evening and he was mentioning kooks headers they do look pretty good & more expensive. what's your opinionSend him a PM here on the forums ...he responds right away ... I like Nick man he has always answered my questions and that is who I got my oil catch can from lol ..
If you can afford them and he can get them to you do it ..... those are my #1 choiceI was emailing with nick this evening and he was mentioning kooks headers they do look pretty good & more expensive. what's your opinion
Money isn't a issue how good are they ? Nick says they come with really good gaskets & hardware would they have to be wrapped ? Cause I'm not sure if I would or is it better to just go with the jba's with ceramicIf you can afford them and he can get them to you do it ..... those are my #1 choice

I'm really wanting the Kooks they look like a great product. would they have to be wrapped? And nick has them in stockI have not heard anyone who has Kooks complain about a single thing dude ... JBAs are still a good header set but if you can get them and money isn't an issue get the Kooks !!!!

I saw on the kooks description something about patented scavenging spikes what's that? After watching all the youtube videos and reading on other forums I personally would go with the ceramic coat ... and just wrap lines and hoses with the heat wrap instead ...
Brother you are making it more difficult for me to decide at least I've narrowed it down to 2 choices thanks for all your helpAfter watching all the youtube videos and reading on other forums I personally would go with the ceramic coat ... and just wrap lines and hoses with the heat wrap instead ...
Thank you Nick for the info
I recently installed JBA titanium ceramic coated shorties with the Remflex gaskets. In my opinion the JBA shorties had subpar weld quality even with being covered with ceramic coating. They also leaked right out of the box at the welds where the primaries meet the flange. I have a video I will try and post where I snoop tested the system while applying air pressure through the tailpipes, very clearly leaked at the flange welds. TunedRAMS has a youtube video "JBA Leaking Headers or Gaskets?" where he experienced the same issues, I believe he mentions twice.
I realize this is not going to be the case for every set they sell but it speaks to their level of quality.
The shorties also did not seal well to the factory y-pipe. An RTV high temp sealant is 100% necessary which just adds another layer of complexity when installing.
If I were to do it over again, no question I would go ARH long tubes and y-pipe. I personally would not purchase another JBA product.
Also in my experience I had to re-tighten some of the bolts with the Remflex gasket. The Remflex gasket is top notch though, seemed very robust and well made.
