DOes any one know why Crutchfield says the JBL 6x9's wont fit in a 14 Crew Cab?

I am trying to upgrade, and have had good success with the JBLs in the past, but any sub $100 6x9's you recommend? I like crisp highs, Clear mids, and decent bass, but I have a sub for pounding, so its more to fill the sound stage.

Thanks!

I think the JBLs are too deep and the window bracket hits it when it goes up or down.

IIRC when I was researching speakers I saw one vid where the guy added a couple of spacers since there's more room in front of the speakers than behind

Try getting these also just to alleviate any issues eith magnet clearance.
Used them on my kicker 7x9s and now on my Focals
Lots of choises and prices

Are you referring to the JBL GX963s? If so, they fit without issue. All four doors in my truck have them with no spacers needed.
