IMG_3799.jpegThe latest and greatest new Jeep! IMO no thanks on the electric and it looks like my wifes Grand Cherokee L but starts at 72k… Thoughts on it?

Overview

Don't let the familiar name confuse you; the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is an entirely new animal with an electric powertrain. Jeep's first battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the Wagoneer S packs 600 horsepower via a pair of motors, has a claimed range of over 300 miles, and a quoted 60 mph time of 3.4 seconds. Yet it doesn’t ignore the brand's legacy, including a fully modern interpretation of the seven-slot grille, albeit incorporated into a more aerodynamic overall profile; in fact, the Wagoneer S has a 0.29 coefficient of drag, making it the slickest Jeep design yet. Helping the cause are a unique dual rear roof/liftgate spoiler setup and its comparatively diminutive overall dimensions. It’s smaller in most measurements than the current mid-size Grand Cherokee, let alone the full-size Wagoneer. But there's still room for five inside, along with 45.0-inches of overall screen area in front to handle all the instrument and infotainment any driver and passenger could ask for. Standard all-wheel drive and a variety of drive modes keep things Jeep-y, and 400-volt architecture provides the ability to charge from 20-80 percent in 23 minutes with a DC fast charger. We expect the Wagoneer S EV to hit dealer showrooms in the fall of 2024.

What's New for 2024?

The first electric model from Jeep, the 2024 Wagoneer S represents a new beginning for the brand. A Wagoneer in name only, it's an entirely new vehicle based on Stellantis' STLA Large platform that is slated to underpin most of the brand's forthcoming EV models.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The price of the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S starts at $71,995.

Performance wise, looks like a hit. Smoking 0-60, useful amount of range.

Aesthetically challenged, doesn't look like a Jeep IMO. Red interiors look dated immediately, but the black is alright.

I get it's a special 'launch edition' but ick to the price. Better than a Cybertruck, though.

Not my thing.

Cyber truck: Overpriced junkola like that ridiculous electric HUMMER. My thought to that is: WTF, Why over...

Go get a mid optioned RAM, drive and enjoy. Heck I just got a lowly Bighorn, but the acceleration happiness and V8 sound is the best.

It looks like every other suv out there and just as overpriced as the rest.

The battery is pathetically small for the size of vehicle. It has less towing capacity than a Maverick. The interior looks Compass level cramped.

There is nothing here. Pause, glance, carry on.

Might be good for someone that drives short distance, and to soccer games.
Just not my cup of tea.

Our Grand Cherokee 4xe was one of the nicest vehicles we've owned- but totally killed me on anything electrified...

Why? WHY? Why do you need your four ton family wagon to do 0-60 in Corvette speed? It's absurd and totally unnecessary. The average driver can't handle that amount of power, especially when it is wrapped in something that weighs as much as a commercial truck. Drop the power down to about 400 and increase the range. It will still be plenty fast enough to keep up with traffic.
