Hello all,

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 with a jumpseat that I am looking for assistance with in swapping out for a newer middle console. I'm aware there are tutorials out there, but I have limited power tools and hands on skills to fee comfortable tackling this project. I'm also not sure who I would hire to help me out with doing this. If anyone is located in the DFW area and looking to swap or can help me out, it would be much appreciated!

Thank you,
Michelle

Surprisingly, its not all that complicated.

Having all the parts you'll need ahead of time definitely makes the task easier, and quicker.

Even if your not interested in doing the work yourself, I'd highly recommend watching a few videos, and reading some of the posts in here to get an idea of what actually is involved. Having a friend to assist, with or without your prior knowledge will certainly help. If anything, plan on taking out the passenger seat to make the install easier.

Good luck, and your in the right place to get educated on anything Ram :waytogo:

Thank you for your response! I will ask one of the local shops that have assisted me with my truck before.

Happy to report I was able to get some help & have most of it finished! The seller on eBay didn't put the bezel in the shipment and the lid latch was broke. I should be getting both parts in next week and feel confident to do it. If anyone's interested in photos, i'm happy to post!

Yeah, it was definitely expensive but will be way more useful to me than a jumpseat that's never used. Next up will be a ceramic coating

Okay, here are after-swap photos! I installed a Hooke Console Vault as you can see. I only wish that the Wadestar Phone Holder fit with it too. I can confirm that it sadly does not :(

www.car-part.com That's where I got my console.
I did the swap on my '17 Laramie so I could install the factory CD player. I had to get a "CD Console" to swap out for my "non CD Console".
I have the other console still. It is buried in storage somewhere.
