Just bought a 2500

So bought my 2013 1500 Expess 6 years ago and bought a new boat last August. Turns out the new boat weighs about 9000lbs with trailer and my Express with 3.55's was only rated for 8600lbs. It tows it just fine but it was about time to trade up so...

Went and looked at a 2018 2500 Laramie the other day but more than I wanted to spend. Found a 2018 2500 SLT Outdoorsman with 7900 miles on it. Has the touchscreen, nav, etc. Seems like everything but heated seats and leather/sunroof. Has the 6.4 Hemi with 4.10's

Called yesterday and got pre-approved. Made the deal today and supposed to pick it up Monday.

I've considered a 2500 off and on myself, not just because of a 16' EbbTide/Trailer, but also all the assorted camping crap we cram both into the truck bed and the boat for trips. One spot we go for a week minimum usually has ZERO firewood. Having to haul all that along with the heavy tents and cooking gear always puts me right there as to the weight rating.

Again, congratulations, I wanna see pics of this new toy.

Nice, new boat and new truck! You'll love the difference in space with a 2500. It'll be hard to go back to a 1500 series. I just bought my first Ram 2500...but I've owned GMC 2500s for many years.

We had a 1986 25' Sea Ray Sundancer that we sold last summer. It weighed about 8000 with the trailer. Bought a 2006 Crownline 250CR and figured it weighed about the same. Well checking specs the Crownline weighs 2000lbs more dry but has an aluminum trailer so thinking 9000-9500lbs now. My 1500 towed it fine but I'd rather be legal

My ‘14 2500 is still haulin and moving down the road nicely!
Be safe towing, buy a 2500 and 6.4. Maintenance not expensiveMPG not all that bad, safety is worth a lot. Enjoy the toys!
