Those were fairly rare when they were new.
I only ever saw a few of them, and never saw a diesel version.
It'll be interesting to see how many guys on here know anything about those little Mitsubishi trucks.

They are soooo rusted out by now. Good luck. A friend of mine snagged one cheap because structural rust had killed it.

The engines are supposed to be decent, so it could be swapped into some other small RWD project for an economical daily driver.

If I could buy a compact diesel suv I would. My wife wants a rav4 and I want a diesel for the range. We like to go camping so getting loaded up and going somewhere diesel would be nice. My truck gets 12.5mpg empty… I tried to talk her into a jeep ecodiesel but she’s not a fan of the ride characteristics of the jeep wrangler. Doesn’t give that sporty suv feel. You can definitely tell it’s a jeep. I would have bought an eco diesel ram if I could have found one with the setup I wanted. If I hadn’t already built up my truck I would swap to a new body ecodiesel

I think that it would not pass emissions

I know that you can't bring a new Standard Transmission Corvette until 2 years has passed, if you plan to register it in California
