The big thing about traction is the tires. I have used B.F Goodrich All Terrain tires for years and wouldn't use anything else. Great traction on Michigan's winter road.

Yes, it’s a 4x4. I live on a huge hill and am worried about being able to get up it in the snow. People with 2wd or fwd and crappy tires wind up sliding backwards.

If it was 2 wd that may be an issue, but 4 x 4 not so, put it on auto or 4 wheel lock. I have anti slip, usually it just goes sideways when it spins, I just use auto or lock so it goes straight.

I just put a deposit on a 2019 Laramie today, but just realized it doesn't have an anti-spin differential. It's a great deal....dealer demo with 1600 miles and I got another $4000 off as a result, but just was looking through the options again and realized it has a 3.21 axle, which I want, but no anti-spin. Should I be seriously concerned here in the northeast? I'd be really upset to lose this truck, but don't want to make a huge mistake either. Thanks in advance for your help.

Again, I just don't get this. Can't people think for themselves?? This is PURELY "own choice"

Well if nobody asked any questions on here, it would be pretty boring. At least this question had some legitimate reason to be asked, if you didn't really know much about differentials and gears and whats best for certain conditions, you should probably ask people you can trust more than the dealer (like asking here).
