I keep getting the Service Airbag Message. Sometimes its there when I start the truck and its still in park other times not until I put in drive. Then today it came on when I went across some bumps but that not certain the bumps was the cause.

It usually stays on 30-50seconds then goes off. So typically it comes on when I pull away and then it goes out, then comes on again next time I start it.

The ding sound is bugging me a lot. Has any one else experienced this problem? Maybe there is a TSB?

Here is the other thing, i did the steering wheel audio control control myself like five months so perhaps now the air bag connector is a bit loos or something. Its just a pain taking the steering wheel apart but I have feeling that is where this heading.

Just figure best check with everyone to see if the intermittent Service Air bag message is a known problem. The message does not store stay it goes away each time fault clears. I did a OBD2 error code check and there are none.

Any insight anyone has to share is welcome. Thanks

If that message comes up, there is a code. The first place to start is pulling the code. That will tell you exactly what airbag the problem is with. It sounds like there is a loose connection but there are quite a few connections. Get a code reader that will pull airbag codes.

I just read on line that some guys have had this problem with loose airbag fuses. So I swapped the 10 amp fuses but intermittent problem still there.

I did notice most of the fuses in the block were not all the way seated so I push down more. But now the extractor tool does not grip so I think the fuses were not meant to be presses in further. Not really sure.

So now I get a Service Towing Brake Message and it firm does not go away. So to me there should be some code.

I have a Actron Pocket scanner. I used it to try and see if there was a Air Bag code a few days ago but nothing. But Like I mentioned the Air Bag message always goes away. And the message center will say 0 Messages.

But now I have a firm Service Tow Brake message. I was hoping by reseating the fuse that I satisfied the condition and I just needed to erase the code but the Actron does not see it. It still says 0 codes.

The Service Air Bag comes and goes but the Service Tow Brake seems firm. I do not know if the code is non-volatile memory or not. Probably is, but I am going disconnect the battery for a few mins to see since the pocket reader is no help to read the specific codes.

That thing will only read pcm codes. You need something that will communicate with the airbag module and the integrated trailer brake module. No basic warranty left on your 2013?

Okay I guess after it ran through it diagnostic while driving for a couple mins the Service Tow Brake light went out

But now the radio is is in Review Camera mode in drive, no radio.. Which means the aftermarket camera is getting pwr from the radio so I think the radio thinks its on. ha ha The message center shows a radio station at the top as if there is one but no radio functionality at all.

I recall it locking up to just showing the RAM screen once while at a intersection. I turned the truck on and off and it was fine. Now when I turn the truck on its the Ram screen. Maybe something happened earlier when I disconnected he battery.. Just disconnected it again hopefully I will get lucky.

Radio still no functionality after disconnecting battery. Seems the software is locked up or something.Last few short drives the Service Air Bag light did not come on. Not convinced resetting fuses fixed it just yet but maybe.

Not sure what to think about the Radio just yet. Been working 2 to 3 weeks at a time with no days off. Rest of Jul will be the same so just dropping the truck off at the dealer is not a piece a cake. Sucks.
