54 yr old?

new truck is going to set ya back $60k Up.
How long do you think you will be able to use a new truck? get in it?

Even if 20 years, thats $3k per year, for next TWENTY years

Line X those bumpers and up to the body line, on each side. $700 or so.
the black will look good against that color and call ti all good.

Run that engine until it blows.
When it does die adn it will, spend $6-8K and get a long block, new engine from Chrysler and slap in it.
spend more an get a 392 adn really have some fun.
still $50k less than the cost of a new one.

Truck looks good, as is.
love the topper

It's a tough decision, especially when you have such a fondness for your 2014 Ram Quad cab SLT 1500. Considering your positive experience with the truck and the sentimental attachment, it's understandable that you're hesitant to let it go. However, at 113K miles and with signs of rust on the rockers, it's essential to assess the long-term reliability and repair costs.

If you plan to retire soon and want something nice going forward, it might be worth exploring newer options with advanced features and better longevity. While newer trucks can be expensive, you can consider financing or leasing options to make it more manageable.
Here is a great article about on when is the right time to sell your car https://hdbv5.com/when-is-the-right-time-to-sell-your-car/, maybe you will find some answers there.?
On the other hand, if you have the expertise and willingness to invest in repairing and refreshing your current truck, it could be a cost-effective solution. However, remember that rust repair and maintenance might not completely address other potential issues that come with higher mileage.

Ultimately, the right time to sell your car depends on your priorities, budget, and long-term plans. Weigh the pros and cons, and consider seeking advice from a trusted mechanic to assess the overall condition and future reliability of your Ram. Whichever decision you make, make sure it aligns with your needs and preferences for your upcoming retirement and beyond.
