So here's the issue. Randomly my key fobs won't lock/unlock my doors. Before you say to check batteries or contacts I know that's not the issue because when I click unlock, the lights flash and horn honks, so it is getting the signal. I also have an aftermarket command start and that also won't lock or unlock.
I can use my key to manually unlock the truck, but when I try to unlock the other doors with the switch on the door it also doesn't work. I will then drive around and when I get to my destination most often I will open my door and then all the other doors then automatically unlock and everything works again.
I have gone months where this isn't an issue, and then I'll go stretches where is happens every day.
Recently it was really annoying because I have a toneau cover, my Tailgate was locked, and apparently the key hole on my tailgate is full of dirt and grime, so the manual key didn't work. So all my tools were trapped until it started working again.
