So you work for kicker? Couple weeks ago I heard a cracking noise and then something burning. Believe both my kicker amp and comp rt subs blew at same time. Any ideas of how that happens?

Hard to diagnose, but if a coil went out on a sub, it could take the amp out. Or visa versa. Amp can take a sub out.
If you smelt something burning, gains/bass boost, etc could be too high. Amp clipping, low on voltage, etc.
So many variables.

Nothing was set very high and actually didn't even have the radio very loud when they blew :/

Sorry to hear, if still under warranty, please feel free to return them to a dealer. Id have the amp checked just to be sure.

Ok, are you a kicker vendor on here or just happen to work for them? Gonna call kicker about warranty. If not covered am I able to buy thru you or where is best place?

No, I cannot help on sales, you'd need to see local dealers for that.
They can track the serial numbers and let you know if they are under warranty. Can you take them back to the local dealer?

Amp is like 10 years old so I know that isn't covered. Subs I bought direct from kicker when my older sub blew

ah. well amp can be fixed and covered for one year on any replaced parts. Its relatively inexpensive to have it fixed. They go through the whole board.
But it may have taken subs out. Same, if you purchased the sub from us for warranty exchange, they are covered for one year.

Any idea how much it costs to repair? Can't remember the exact letters it begins with but it's a 750.1 amp have a 350.4 as well

We would use my truck to play music at our camp ground at country thunder but these last few years the 350 would keep overheating and cut off on me

Hey found these in one of my boxes, can tweeters be replaced and if so is it worth it or just pony up the 120 for a new set?
