Can you guys chime in on approx labor costs to have a muffler welded in? The pro xs is $140 shipped, bolt ins are 330 to 365, how do the costs compare?

You need to ask around locally. They will charge you more then likely just their hourly labor rate and every shop is different. At the end of the day you might only save yourself $20-$30 but it will be shop installed and welded in which will always last longer.

Ive had weld ins done on several vehicles and a couple on my rams. Typically 40-75 depending on shop and how much pipe they need to add. Much cheaper to go weld in than the bolt on route.

$100 is what I paid in Alaska. Shouldn't be more than that in most of the lower 48 as our labor costs are higher here.

Prices will vary greatly. The ones I've done in the past cost anywhere from $80 to $180. On my '12 Ram, I could have bought Mufflex for the same price by the time I was done. Another thing to keep in mind, most shops do not carry stainless pipe (at least ours didn't back then). Thus, you are getting aluminized piping with your shiny new SS muffler.

I paid $50 cash from a local shop I deal with. Thought that was fair. Sounds great

So far one shop wants 350. Thats buying muffler from them and installing with welds, all stainless pipe. Another shop wants 550, but that was customing it to a bolt on setup. I have all the parts to do it as a clamp on in a cart on Summit racing website for $220, followed rysram posts. I know the muffler doesn't have the 2 hangers on it and the rest of the exhaust will support it. But what did you guys do with the ground strap that attaches to the muffler hanger brackets? Thanks for everyones input so far.
