Seems like my 84mm fastman TB is not closing all the way, engine is definitely idling at much higher than normal RPM. I pulled the TB today and the butterfly plate seemed too far open.
Anyone have any input on a compatible larger throttle body that would work on a stock 5.7 intake manifold?
2016 Ram 1500.

87mm ported TB is available through Moe's Performance.

I've seen a few on here mention using a 92mm Hellcat TB as well. I think a spacer may have been needed as well, but in total it was only slightly more expensive. Not sure on the details, you'd need to search the forum for more accurate details.

No surging or idle issues with the 92mm OEM Hellcat TB. MMX makes an adapter to fit the 5.7 truck intake manifold.

Did load a custom tune that fired up on the first try.

Can't help with your question but I would like to ask, are you selling that Fastman?

Come to find out the throttle body is fine, the PCV hose had blown off the last time I was at the track.

I personally would never start with TB as a first modification.

It compliments other mods like Long tubes, intake, tune.

Its literally the last MOD ;) or at the very least do it when you swap the cam out and add the 6.4 intake.

Would you happen to have the part numbers for that TB and the adapter?
Khaos makes an adapter that's alot cheaper then the MMX adapter.Join some of the hellcat facebook pages, quite often you can find low milege used hellcat throttle bodies for sale.I have 300 bucks Canuck into a Hellcat throttle body / Khaos adapter and the complete upper and lower hellcat airboxes with the head light duct on my wifes 6.4 Challenger. If you shop around and ask on a few of the Hellcat face book pages, good chance you can find the throttle body used, for noticably less money.

I installed a Modern Muscle 87mm throttle body on my 07' Quad Cab 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi in February 2015, it works great.

Save your money,if your not at least cammed/long tubes etc,and tuned you don't need a bigger throttle body, you won't notice any differance on a stock truck, other then your wallet being alot lighter. As long as the throttle body is for 2013+ they're plug-n-play. FYI the 6.4 Scatpack cars use the same 251 casting throttle body as the 5.7's do,that should let you know the stock throttle body is more then sufficient on a stock 5.7 truck. The 92mm Hellcat throttle body does plug into the 5.7's throttle body wiring harness but will need a reducing adapter to bolt onto the 5.7 or 6.4's intake manifold
