I've lifted my 2500 2.75" up front and 1" in the rear. I'm getting tired of my current wheel/tire combo rubbing and am thinking about going back to the stock 20" wheels. If I go back I'll go with a 35" but I don't know how wide the factory wheels are or how wide I can go with tires. Can I run a 12.5" wide tire on the stock wheels? If it will fit will it look odd? Can I swap my 325/60's over to the stock wheels?

I'm running 295/65/20 Toyo AT2 on my stock wheels. I believe the factory wheels are 20x9. My tires don't rub at all. The measure out to 35x11.75 if i remember correctly.

I'm running 295/70/18 (34.2x11.6) on factory 18s with no lift or level. I'd think 35's would be fine with 2.75" of lift. You can go to customoffset.com and search their gallery with your specs and get an idea of how t will look.

Stock 20" wheel is supposedly 9" wide and that is the minimum recommended for a 325/60-20 so they should work. At 325 you are a bit wider then what most 35"s are, you are almost 13" wide. I know a lot of people run 305's 315's with no issue but you are wider so can't be 100% sure?

The stock 20s on my 2018 2500 are 20x8 according to the window sticker, so you might want to check...

I don't have 20's, was just going off what I had sen others quoting them as. If they are 8" no way I would run a 325 on them.

I run a 35.1"x 11.6" (295/65/20) on stock limited 20s and rub slightly. From what I have found out stock wheels run around a +58 positive offset. You can fit a 37x12.5 on a 18mm offset wheel on stock suspension from what I have seen without any rubbing. I think your best bet would be looking into trading for a less offset wheel in the 0-18mm + offset as I see you are running a -12mm offset now.

I actually found a set of bora 1 3/4" spacers that will on paper push me out to about a 44mm so it should put me to about a 14mm offset. I can report back once I get them installed but going to your stock wheels you will probably rub even more that you are now since I am rubbing with a 1 1/2 skinnier tire.

Stock 20”s with a lvl and 35”s on a 3/4 ton won’t rub. I ran 34”s on a non lvled ram 2500 on stock 20”s with no issue. Cjc has you tube videos of 3/4 ton rams and Level kits and they tell you what will and won’t fit. And I believe thuren does as well.

I was thinking my factory wheels were 9" but I checked the window sticker today and they're 8". Unfortunately I won't be able to go back to stock if I want to keep my tires. Man I wish I'd have done more research before ordering these wheels, ugh....

Phyolodog-
What is the exact tire size you have on your aftermarket rims that you want to swap to ur factory 20”s?
What Make/model are they?
Also throw a tape measure on them and give us the exact current measurement.

I will be driving all day for work tomorrow, but Friday morning I can do a little research and see what I can drum up.

The wheel size is stamped into the back of the factory wheels somewhere. You may have to take one off to find it. I would not trust the door sticker at all.

Other than possibly rubbing SLIGHTLY on your radius arm, you should fit those tires just fine with the factory wheels.

The issue is his stock wheels are only 8" wide. The minimum width rim for a 325 is 9".

I have run 12.5” wide tires on 7” wide wheels. Never once had an issue. Tires wore great.

I think tire manufacturers recommendations are a great starting point. However, the tire isnt gonna spontaneously emplode if you stick it on a 1” skinnier wheel.

and remember the wear on the bearings, when you go to far out of spec on the offset you change the wear on the bearings. had one friend who disregarded the offset specs and 18K later had to have all the front bearings replaced on his 4WD rig because he did not pay attention to the bearing loads. Be careful where you go with this, it may cost you more than you think.
