I tried to search for some threads but, that doesn't seem to work for me.

I have a 2016 3500 Dually that is in need of new tires. Are there any advantages in going up in size other than looks?

If it's just a road truck I'm going to so no advantage other then looks. Now if you use it on a farm or something and are off road it can have some advantages.

More side wall can add more flex for a smoother ride.

Largar tires will also numerically lower the final gear ratio. That could hurt your ability to get her moving up to speed.

I don't think there is any advantage for a primarily road driven vehicle. But bigger tires do look a LOT better with the huge wheel wells on these trucks.

Can you run 35x12.50 20" on a stock 2500 4x4 without lifting or leveling?? it does not have the off road package. 2018 mega cab 4x4 Laramie with Cummins.

Make sure that, if you go up in size, you also maintain appropriate space between your rears. You do NOT want the sidewalls rubbing. If they rub too much, you will suffer blowouts that are going to cause major damage. ESPECIALLY during towing. Be aware that you may need spacers or new rims to get the clearance you need.

I'm not saying don't go bigger, just do it safely. Looks are awesome, but safety should be your #1.

fullsizeoutput_1.jpeg I have been wanting something similar to this height-wise on my '18 3500. I've got 4.10's and pretty sure an additional few inches of tire height would not ruin my pulling power. These look like the 17" factory 7"W wheels as does mine. Anybody have an idea if this truck has been lifted to accommodate?

Does anyone know if LT295/70/18's fit on 2500 stock rims without a lift? Not too many choices in the 18 inch size. Just would like a tire a bit taller.

Thanks! Wonder if the factory steel wheels (five spoke) have the same backspacing.

I believe so. Factory 18x8.0 Wheel Offset = +43 mm - Back Space = 6.19" Inches

Got under there today and turned wheels lock to lock. Lots of extra space and additional 1/2" of width on each side appears to not potentially rub anywhere. Takes the revs/mile down from 623 to 603 so speedometer will be off less than 2 mph @ 60. Thanks again.
