Hey All -

This morning I noticed I was leaking some fluid out of this contraption. Looks like part of the muffler to me.

The hole that is there almost seems like its supposed to be there.

We have alot of snot right now so its possible I hit it while driving.

Can you guys give me some direction on what this is called and if there is supposed to be a plug there or is this damage?

Thanks

Jay Duke

Yeah, that's your muffler and the water coming out of it when it's cold is by design. Otherwise, it'll collect in the muffler and corrode it. Like Dodge said, it's condensation from the hot exhaust reacting to the cold air.
