I looked at them as well. They seem to fit realy well considering they cover your existing upholstery.

As Rick said. The stock seats are not full leather. Chances are, roadwire or katzkins are not full leather either. Buy what makes you happy. The install isn't that hard. It will get you frustrated I'm sure. Just take a break. Get a drink and stand back and look just like Rick said. I found the back seat harder to do. I omitted the center headrest in the back. When I slipped the skin on the headrests. I'd squeeze the foam and slip the cover a little bit. Do the other side. Squeeze the foam slide the cover on a little more. Just like the chubby girl getting those too tight jeans on. Work it on slowly. There's pictures of my seats on here too. I went with black and cobalt blue. Contrast double stitch. I'm very happy with my seats.

I've thought about this too... Leatherseats.com or Clazzio's.com... can't make up my mind which I'd want to try out. Leatherseats is located about 1.5 hrs from me, so that would be easier for shipping, or just to go over and let them do it. I've heard great stuff about Clazzio's also, so who knows.

I did watch one of Leatherseats' videos on an install, and they removed the cloth seat material before installing the leather, so that looked a little more invasive than the Clazzio's.

For me, the clazzio's were not even an option. I think they look like pooh. But yeah, you take it down to foam. You take hogrings out and reattach new covers. For only a few dollars more, you have a great looking set of custom skins that you can personalize based on the 800 I paid for mine.

The Classio's are for covering your existing seat upholstry they are seat covers. The products from Katzkn or Leather seats .com are for reupholstering your seats not covering them.

If you buy the reupholstering kits from either Katzkn or leather seats they also sell I stallion kits and accessories, is hog rings and boring pliers etc. One thing they also sell that will make the job so much easier are small thin plastic bags that are used to install the headrest covers. To use these you do not need an upholstry vaccum system you can do it with a shop vac and man does it make it much easier. There are videos online showing how to do this.

I need to adjust the way it attaches. The other side is perfect. I actually forgot about it, but yeah I think the wave/wrinkle is still there. The stock cover has a J-clip that snaps into the channel. The aftermarket skin has piping that is poked into the channel.

I know it hasn't even been in the discussion but I figured I'd give my $0.02 anyway.

Steer clear of Classic Soft Trim. They are similar to Katzkin in theory but they are total crap! Crappy service too. When I bought my truck last year the sales guy said he never heard of Katzkin when I asked but said they do business with Classic Soft Trim. I kick myself EVERYDAY for not just telling him I wanted Katzkin's and nothing else...I made a lot of mistakes when I bought this truck but that was the one I get reminded of every time I open the drivers door.

I was a little hesitant as well. I got quotes from 400.00 all of the way to 1000.00! To install them so I decided to give it a try. As others have said if you watch the video and take yor time it's not realy that hard. You just have to make sure you massage the cover where it needs to be and work out the little wrinkles here and there and then stand back and give it a good once over to make sure it is strait before you cut the holes for the headrests.

I'm not paying that much to have them installed.

I bought seats from leatherseats.com. I think they are excellent quality. I paid 789 for a crew cab. Added heated seats from eBay for 50 bucks. I build the seats for the Chevy Malibu for a living so, they were a piece of cake for me. Took about five hours for me to do it by myself. That's pulling ratchets out to unbolt seats and putting tools away. It's not overly difficult. You'll want to do it right and put some effort into it or you'll get unsightly wrinkles.
Is there any way you have a schematic for taking apart a 2014 Malibu seat? I have to do an install on heated seats for my stepmothers car

Is there something specific you need to know? It's pretty standard screws and clips. Clip hogrings, put new hogrings in. Rebuild seat. Sorry if that makes no sense. What are you trying to do?

Well, I did them on my Avalanche, and I didn't have hogrings in that , it was channels and plastic retainers. I haven't actually even looked at the seats yet to see what they're gonna entail, but when I saw your response on here I figured who better to ask
