I recently bought an LED brake/Cargo light housing for my ram. I noticed LED white cargo lights stay dimly lit when driving, and when truck is turned off.
After lots of research, an 8 Ohm 25 watt resistor needs to be wired into positive wire for cargo light in order to only turn on when cargo light is turned on. These can be bought off ebay very cheap.
So if you bought an LED 3rd brake/cargo housing, expect to have to do this.
