overpriced relay......forgot to order one online. oh well. SPDT (5 pin) setup, with the pigtail



I'm going to set this up to have the DRLs light up when the truck is running (and I may put an inline switch on that just in case) - and then they will go off when the parking lights are turned on.

would these blind on coming drivers at night? Can you notice that they're on when having HID fog on? light output wise.

they are bright, and its why when I hooked mine up - they are on a relay to turn them off when the parking lights go on.

I just bought these, to out in the front, but will now put in the back as supplemental backup lights. After research, I wanted front led DRL lights that stay on all the time, but dim with headlights so as not to blind drivers. The Philips DRL lights have auto dime feature, and auto on/off feature sensing voltage change in battery (can hook up to battery direct). Two choices and price points:

1) their original, now being phased out, but can be had for $100 (half price) on eBay or Amazon: Philips LED DayLight 8 - Model Number:12824WLEDX1

2) new version is slick looking, better at sensing voltage change and handling auto headlights and brighter: Philips LED DayLight - Model Number:12825WLEDX1 This is what I bought. They are expensive at 200, but on a $50k truck, in the front, I want this to look OEM and professional.
