I attempted to upgrade all my lights to led. I did a bunch of research and ordered led lights for my high, and low beams and fog lights with can bus resistors from superbrightleds.com.

Everything came in i installed the fogs with resistors and they work great.

However the bulbs don't fit into my headlights the entire light and bulbs are all enclosed inside the headlight. So i had go return them.

Any suggestions on what led lights i can use that will fit inside the headlight enclosure. This truck is equipped with projectors.

Thanks

Where did you buy the Heise lights?
from a dealer in CA, my territory for work. But most car audio shops or car performance places can order. You may find them on Amazon.
Mine were 9006 fogs, and H11 lows

Did you need to order can bus connecters with these hikari lights?

Nope, I didn't purchase anything additional, just the bulbs themselves. I ran them for about a month without issue, then since I was tinkering around with alfaobd I did switch the setting for low beams over to LED, but that was merely because I had the tool and not because it required doing so.

Dont waste your time with canbus stuff or resistors. Look up AlfaOBD and be done with it. Even with resistors and canbus "anti error" stuff our trucks are picky and can still cause headaches. You can also buy bigger dust cap covers and some guys use heat guns and remold their caps

Thanks for the info. Gonna take this hikari light route and gonna pick up the obd stuff i need..

do either of you know can you change engine temperature settings with the Obd?

For example i have a 180 degree t-stat but electric fan only kicks on at 205 degrees or as needed if ac condenser is running. So i get variation in my engine temp.

I believe you need a programmer for that. Hikari work well I used them before I install projectors Super bright

No problem and let us know how you make out. As for the t-stat, I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if it could. Maybe double check over in the alfa thread just to be sure, those guys know just about everything over there:
