I bought some LED High beam bulbs. Supernova V.4 X - 9005

It is really tight in there. The back of the bulb (the fan and heat sink) is really close to the dust cover. And there is not really room for the adaptor. The installer drilled a hole to run the wire out and to give the bulb some breathing room. Not sure that is such a good idea. Not sure what my options are.

I could use heavy duty duct tape to close the hole, but not sure if that is a fix.

I'd appreciate any ideas?

3.25" rubber dust caps. That's what was recommended to me.

I bought stepped trim-to-fit caps and ended up at, you guessed it, 3.25". They'll fit inside the mouth of the headlight.

Where did you get them? Not sure if you are saying because they ended up inside the mouth of the headlight they work or not?

Those are the ones I ordered, looks like the same thing is available cheaper than that particular link now. I wanted something that would fit over the mouth/lip on the headlight but there's just no room. These slip inside pretty nicely with a little vaseline (yeah yeah, easy jokes) once trimmed to the right size. So far I've had no moisture in my lights and I expect it to stay that way.
