LED Lightbar upgraded

Hey all...

I upgraded to a 42" curved LED from a straight 34". The difference is definitely noticeable!!

I purchased a Shanren 42" LED 240 watt bar from Amazon for $95 shipped. It was recommended from someone on here, as I was looking for one that would not leak and get condensation. Since I have had this, we have had plenty of rain and temperature changes, and so far, I have experienced ZERO issues with fogging up or anything!

Here are some pics of my install and how I attached it.

From the front, you can see the bracket.



From the backside - I used one of the bumper mount bolts. I had to bore out the bracket a little for it to fit over the bolt. I also had to use a cheater bar to break this nut loose! It was freakin' tight.





I trimmed up the insert to cover the bracket from being seen:

Damn...buy the U.S. Bar and have it shipped to a friend/relative in the U.S. Then pick it up when you go to visit.

Oh and how did u mount ur license plate? Do u use the same parts and just move it up

I moved the license plate up a little bit...maybe 3/4".

The black insert pops out easily. Just get behind it from underneath and you can pop it out. There are several catches on it, so just take your time. I put the on/off switch on the drivers side in the panel down beneath the headlight switch. I just used a small rocker for now. Going to do a switch from OTTRAW eventually.

I suppose it could if you cut the bracket long enough. It may mount there! Not sure.

That looks great - i didn't think you could fit a 42" in there. That is exactly where i want to put one.

There's a bunch of guys on here who fit the 42" in that space. It's definitely a great spot.

I have never seen another led light bar on before so I can't really compare them but I am also very happy with my shanren led light bar

Yeah the Shanren lights seem to only be sold through Amazon, and I'm pleased with mine for sure. No condensation yet!! That's a win.

There's about 3.5" from the edge of the light bar to the edge of the bumper.

That 50" though....... Yeah I'm thinking about that. I think it would work.
