I got a '14 ram longhorn over the weekend but one thing I don't like about it is the headlights because they have that soft white color....how can I get that bright white/blueish color for the headlights...also, are there any headlight kits that convert the headlights to LEDs?

Jeremy @ Retroshop makes the HID conversion really easy. Don't know about the LEDs. He would probably be the one to ask though. I have 6K HIDs in my lows and fogs. They have the blue tint to them you are looking for. They are more blue when you first turn them on and get whiter as they heat up but always have the blue tint to them.

one thing I also remembered, my truck came with the auto dim high beams...I wonder if that will affect the conversion kit...

They do make very bright LED drop in's. I've seen them on the lexus forum with very good results. A buddy of mine is going to try them in his lexus and I'm curies to see how they do. I might buy them for my projectors.

no effect on it, although the auto high beams suck, I shut mine off, takes forever for them to go back on

If I wanted LED headlights I would honestly wait about a year. LED tech in this type of application will get better with more and more OEMs going to LED headlights. If you're looking for a whiter light with blue tint 6000k HID bulbs and kit are the way to go.

Kind of a noob question but will HIDs still work with the AUTO function? I have to admit I've gotten really lazy with this feature because I never worry about if my lights are on or not anymore lol.

That question is answered on the first page of this thread. Yes they still work the same as with stock lights

I wasn't asking about the auto high beam function. I meant the auto setting on the switch. So that lets say when I pull into the parking garage at work the lights come on...will that still work with HIDs and will it be efficient because I know they take time to warm up. Mainly will it hurt them in anyway? Or should I just not use that setting anymore if I get HIDs.

Oh gotcha, yes that works the same as well. The only ones that I found that needed to warm up were the fog lights. Everything else worked normally! Maybe in the winter they'd take longer though.
