LED plate lights

Anyone have any issues with plate lights? I bought some LEDs from Amazon and have some clearance issues on one of the license plate lamps. I replaced the socket for the bulb thinking it had gone bad but every time I reinstall it back into the housing, the bulb goes out. Any recommendations for good bulbs to buy for a god price?

You need t10 CAN BUS bulbs.. the electrical system doesn't like the low wattage of the LED lights and they will flicker or not work at all and you will get a warning light on your dash saying they are out. T10 5 led can bus bulbs are what you are after.

I forget which ones I have, but they work great. I switched all my interior and exterior lights to LED. They were some of the cheaper ones on Ebay.

LOL, $4.95 ea...

The cheap ones are fine for my truck. The CanBus is overkill as my truck doesn't have any warning lights. The issue I'm having is the tip of the standard LED bulb pushes against the lens of the plate light. A shorter light will work fine.

Anyone ever tried these?
