Led Running lights.

So I have done my own DIY marker lights on the plastic under my bumper and tapped them into the fog light harness. I have 8 12 volts dc 3/4" led lights they are dimming in and out and flickering. do you think I need to add a resister to the harness?

I ran led strips under my steps off the dome light. They flicker when I unlock the doors but when I open the door the work correctly.

My guess is the current is low because the lights inside the cab look dim until I open the door. I was thinking about a Resistor too.

The strips under my steps are tapped off the inside courtesy light at the plugs under the rear seat bottoms on each side. They actually dim when I lock the truck remotely, just like the interior lights do...
