figured i would try to help anyone that may be in my shoes. doing nearly all my own vehicle repairs and service, i knew a high qaulity work light was dang near as important as high qaulity hand tools but for a long time i fumbled through many projects with those old skool metal caged lights and cheap led lights made in china that are complete junk. finally one day my patience was gone and i started looking for the best qaulity light i could find. at first nothing caught my attention. sure i could of got a snapon or similar but at $200 and still made in china, no thanks, ill keep searching. eventually i ran across scangrip. some thing about them peaked my interest and thought ill give it a try. they offer a wide selection and designed/made in denmark. longevity and overall performance remains to be seen but just holding it , theres a qaulity feel to it. the model i got is cordless and rechargable but also the light can be used with the cord for times when your near a power outlet and dont need the cordless feature. also theres a handfull of atachments like suction cups and magnets that can be purchased seperate

it has two functions. one is a main light bar and the other is a smaller spotlight at the end. first photo is the main light bar. 2nd and 3rd is spotlight across garage and from about 3'. completely dark garage in all photos

also they have many other types of lights. probly ill get a recharbable pencil light as well. i have a pencil light now that i use almost daily but frankly im tired of dealing with batteries
