Thanks ... Reason I asked is because I was told that I should be going to 4.10 gear ratio..
A 4.10 will get you a 9k tow rating. It was bumped to 10k for '10 and newer. If your rating is the same as mine then you should be able to tow around 8600 give or take a couple hundred lbs.

Pick this up today 2017 wild wood x-lite 263bhxl. Just under 5900lbs. I do wonder if I can get away with not having tow mirrors because I hope to buy the painted sport mirrors.20190505_114248.jpg 20190428_184904.jpg 20190505_124838.jpg

Something to consider when towing heavy with the 1500. I wore front tires really bad because of the lift in the front end. I tow a lot and had to replace fronts every 12-15K.

What kind of mileage do you get with that with bikes (what bikes?) at interstate speed of 75?

12mpg doing about 65-75mph with 3.92 gears.
I pulled two 2014 Kawasaki Zx10r’s with extra gas containers, race suits, extra tires, stands, and other stuff. Round trip was about 190miles and took just about a full tank.

I average 12.3 mpg pulling my 6x10 with either my 929 or RC51 in it, along with the various track supplies and equipment. 3.21 gears, right around 70 mph on the highway.

3.21 gears 4x4 and not a issue at all. The 8speed with 3.21s is better of than the 3.92 with a 6sp until 7th and 8th. Pulls great. Granted it only 5900 lbs but I had a 14 f150 prior and I'll take the towing of the ram all day.

I’m pretty happy with what I’m getting considering the 3.92 gearing, we’re not that far off.
Btw I had a 954 in the past and that thing was a beast! I rode it until it had 90k (track and street) and I was still able to sell it to someone lol
I also love the RC51, it’s one of my all time favorites.
