Just Like the title says. I've got a CB on my ram and I don't like the look of my magnetic base atenna so I need Ideas for when I get a new antenna. So show me your stick boys! :********:

I mounted mine off the front driver side fender...

But mine wasn't a CB... Mine was a full fledge fire radio....:)

Well hey there fire buddy! I did 4 years in my local FD's cadet program now that I'm 18 and a senior in high school I'm in training. What kind of FD did you do Vollie Career Wildfire?

Dual antennas actually server no purpose other than look sweet. They dont transmit or receive any better than a strategically placed single antenna does.
Dont have any pics but I had a cobra mobile in the cab along with a Wilson 1000 on top of the cab. Made my truck look like a remote control toy that way. Sucked while driving thru underground parking.
Also had a 2 meter Kenwood ham mobile in the cab for awhile too, just not with the same antenna.

Sorry to revive this old thread. I know you can run the splitter wires and hook both antennas up to the radio. However in semis the one antenna is a CB antenna, and the other is for the radio. I plan on getting that wire setup and correct antenna, so that one works for the CB and the other for that radio. That way I can shave the stock radio antenna

i took the ashtray out of my truck and mounted my cb in that spot i put the antenna on the front driver side of the bed but thats just where i got the best reception. theres pic of the radio in my interior pics.

I have my dual antennas mounted on the inside bed rails. With a splitter wire so both my antennas are hooked to my cb. And with my cobra 29 I can reach out and talk to drivers.

i actually did that.....i shaved my antenna off my passenger fender now my radio runs off a cb antenna....i get more stations.....and the other one works for my cb
