It's a $20 Amazon piece so I kept my expectations low. It lined up fine, and I only drilled because the bolts I had lying around were too big. The steel bumpers have all kinds of bends to them so only 2 bolts hold it on. But I really don't see it mounting much more rigid with more hardware. It's thin and flexs easy. It surely won't do any good if something hits it either, but again I bought it simple to add lights to. I also tend to overbuild everything so i can nit pick it for days. For $20 I couldn't even get material and paint to make this so all in all its a win.

Night time shots for eye candy. The lights do exactlt what I wanted and fill out the low beams. With them on I almost have no need for high beams. It's rainy today and I had no glare, oncoming traffic didn't flash me at all. So I'd say this was successful. Picture with headlights is my low beams. They are adjusted below small cars side mirrors to give an idea of actual height. View attachment 188515View attachment 188516

I've been eyeballing a couple different brands of sae led pods like this for almost a year. Just couldn't get myself to spend $100 on them. But seeing these output shots I may have too now. I have some cheap flush mount 6" pods in the valance and the do OK hitting the area from the bumper to about where the headlights first hit the ground but that's about it.

I believe I linked the ones I bought above. If not I can post it up. Ram1500rsm posted a shot of these lights a while back, which is what led me to them again. They aren't breath taking, but they cut off nicely and the light fills in below the headlights nice and wide. With the fogs on I actually don't notice the high beams except for where they disperse above the cut off. Pleasantly surprised honestly. Especially for daily use.

I have cheap pods on my jeep and they are totally unusable unless I'm offroad. They literally will melt the siding off a house.

I used Rigid Lamps, they are DOT compliant and they do light up the world. Here in the Central Valley area of California they are a "Must Have"..
Found the brackets on e-bay, they mount by removing the two inner tow hook bolts and just replacing the bolts with two that are about a half inch longer. Brackets are extra heavy duty
and do not need any additional support. A little rework of the lower plastic grill and your set to go.
Do you have link to the bracket you bought? Been staring at the front of my truck on and off for two weeks without figuring something out. Thanks

Just got these from Jeremy at retro shop to replace the factory tow hooks. Lighting up the world!

Does this count as non-OEM?

Dual pod set up using Rough Country SAE pods and spots hooked into the OEM fog switch.

This is what I came up with...4 4"Rigids in the grille. A 41" curved light bar in the lower bumper. I installed 3 flush mount switches just right of the steering wheel. IMG_8536.JPG IMG_8576.JPG

So got my lights on. Used the daystar firewall grommet, drilled through the clutch delete plate like jb1 did. Will be easy to add the aux panel without hassle.

Wired in a basic rocker switch, ran the harness behind grill and snuck wires under bumper cap. The harness provided was actually decent, had a relay, and was plug and play. Excited to see how they throw light, seem to be Pretty nice for 100$.

The mount is aluminum, it's cheesy. I enlarged the holes to take a 1/2 bolt through the bumper. It vibrates a tiny bit at idle but I don't care. It doesn't look TERRIBLE, so for now it will do. $120 I can't *****. Cheap mods FTW!View attachment 188487View attachment 188488View attachment 188489View attachment 188490

Been seeing these, but I have high output Oedro leds in my fog lights. Price of these is very good, but not sure if output would be as good as I have now with the oem housing with leds.

Did they get any moisture in them?
None at all actually. The housings are fading a bit, and we've had some pretty intense weather here in NJ. The lense cover left some glue residue from shipping I still haven't cleaned off but aside from that and some color fade, these are great DOT compliant lights.

Most likely not, the lights I linked don't seem to have a ton of light output. They are enough that they're worth the 90$ but they're not overly impressive. I didn't have factory fogs, so I use them as filler light for driving and they are great, I have actual PODS on my jeep and they are at least 2x as bright, but unusable on the road. The lights on my ram have a crisp cut off which is a must for me.

My lights now have a really good cutoff, think I got lucky. I see there's a projector style aftermarket led fog and morimotos which many say output sucks, but the ones I posted above claim 2x the output over the projector ones. Projector ones I found for about $125 and ones I posted are $85. Think they say 72 watt. Price is right, may try them.
