821FAB3A-4803-49AB-B2F5-3D8297C93A87.jpeg My truck is a 2014 1500 2wd. I have it leveled right now and it doesn’t sit as tall as I would like. The 7 inch lifts are too high but when I see pictures of the 4 inch lift spindle and a 1.5 inch coil spacer in the back it doesn’t really look like it adds much height. I’m asking all those who have a 4 lift if It sits higher than pictures and videos do it justice. Also it seems the only thing provided in the CST lift kit is spindles, brake lines, and coil spacers. But the rough country 4 inch offers a lower control arm drop brackets for the rear. Will I need to buy these separate or are they really needed? Thanks in advance.

To be honest, I went from a 4" kit to a 6". I thought the 4 would be enough, but it just made it look level. Everyone told me to go 6 or I would regret it. I did. I have the RC 6" and it really makes the truck stand out from the basic leveled truck.

I would love to do 6 but to my knowledge for 2wd there’s only a 4 and a 7.

I have the 2ed, Maxtrax 4.5/3", below
That’s the exact set up I’m looking at now. Does the 3 in the back give the truck a rake or does it sit fairly level? Overall how do you like it?

I LOVE it...the front and rear are pretty much level. The kit rides as good as when it was stock and on 33's.
The install shop said it all bolted up easily.

Lift kits are like boob jobs, always should've went bigger.

Anyway, Ive a 2wd Maxtrac 4.5" I like it. Definitely looks better in person than in pics.
You just have to accept you have 2wd and unless you really want to start throwing off the geometry, it is what is. Honestly though, I don't need a 4wd much less a truck that sits 6"+ higher.

Anyway we could get you to give us a measurement from center of wheel to the fender ? And what is your wheel and tire specs ?

I know yours is 2x4 , but I like the stance

Thanks in advance.

20x9.5 0mm offset, 35x12.5x20, from ground centered is 41.5F, 42.5R. I asked Maxtrac why they didn't make the kit level and they said they changed it due to customer demand.

oh and FYI, the Maxtrac spindles will push your track out 1" in addition to the rim and tire width. the rear is not pushed out by the kit. Is it noticeable between front and rear, yes - if youre looking for it.

Before having the kit installed I was ready to by 1" spacers for the rear but would have had to cut the oem lugs then it was a 300-400 job to put back to stock.

This is my '14 2wd. I just installed the CST 4" spindles and 1.5" poly rear spring spacers, kinda wish I would have gone a little higher in the back. The truck does sit level by tape measure, but it just looks a little nose high. The kit installed easily and the ride is just like stock, pretty much everything the other replies said. It did widen the front stance by 1.5" in addition to the wheel offset and 35's, so I went with the 2500 fender flares to tuck some of it in.

That looks clean as hell. That is the exact set I want, did you have to use coil spring compressors to put the spacers in the back?

I had a buddy who owns a shop do the work, so not sure what tools were required. I would usually do this kind of thing in the driveway, but the extending/bleeding of brake lines didn't interest me much.

Go with the Max Trac 7 inch lift, you will not be disappointed at all... looks great, sits perfectly level and drives like a stock truck.

I was very confused when I was getting ready to lift my truck due to all the positive and negative comments on the 4”-4.5” lifts, I decided to go with the Maxtrac 4.5” spindal/rear coil kit! Have to say couldn’t go wrong with this set up, I was able to fit 35x12.50r20 on my stock wheels and looks great, I don’t have a need for a 4x4 so altered my 2wd
