I agree..dont get me wrong i dont have 500 bucks to drop on strips of plastic like that but when i do i will just to know its quality and done right...regardless, for decent flares that are painted or that you can paint, youre gonna pay a decent chunk

You can usually find painted 2500 flares on eBay that are factory take offs
***if you can find your color lol even black might be a pain to find unless you want flat black/unpainted ones

1500 guys don't seem to have any problems finding their color on there, that's probably why it's hard for you lol

Yeah but forceofwill has a 2500 too..i looked earlier and saw take offs from 2 2500s and a mismatched set for "repainting" and the take offs were prarie pearl and white. I looked before i said that lol but im sure there is more selection for 1500s on there.

There's a flame red set and unpainted too (may even be others)
I usually see atleast one new thread a week where someone gets a set of 2500 flares for their 1500, might take a little bit of patience but I'm sure a set in your color will come up

Since ya'll are on a roll answering me, let me ask one more question.. lol

So from a 33.3 inch tire to a 35, speed-o and odometer will be off. Is that all computer timed or mechanical? And how do I go about correcting it?

I lm pretty sure its only computer related because i know some tuners can adjust these settings. Not sure if the dealer can adjust these for you but a tuner would probably be the best bet incase you ever change anything. Cant suggest any for you though...

Tuner... I kinda miss my IDI, just turn a screw or twist that a little and you're done, however my 6.4 will eat that 7.3 **** all day long, lol

Hey Guys, Could anyone with a 2.5" Leveling kit tell me what their cab height is with stock tires? As well as guys with 35" tires? Would like to level my truck and put 35" on but i'm afraid it may not fit in the garage (7' door)

Thanks

It will fit by about 1" with stock tires. I have 35s on the way, no more garage queen for me.....

Eh, I don't think my speedo went off much, maybe 1mph when I went from stock 285/60R20s to Nitto Trail Grappler MT 285/75R18s, so almost 1 size taller.

fyi - in case anyone wonders, or again for search ability, was able to go with these tires and no rubbing, no levelling kit. Down the road I plan on 2" front and 1" spacers rear, just to lift it a little, but still keep some rake to front.

Leveled mine the other day with rough country 2.5 and having a bear of a time keeping the coil springs under and aligned with the upper coil spring isolators under full axle droop. Used a prybar and ratchet strap to get them lined up.. any time I lift from the frame it's gonna be a pain in the ****

Also using RC shocks which are 2.5 inches longer to make up for spacers

There was a post in the 6.4 thread about a guy already putting in a set of 35" tires without any lift or leveling kit. He said it's tight. But you can do it. I always wondered if we could get 37's on them with a leveling kit. Because there is a ton of room with 35's. I'm gonna get me a set of 35/12.50 /18 Nitro Terra Grappler G2 with my income tax. A guy I work with put a set on his back in August or so and has 11,000 miles on them already and burns them all the time and they still look brand new.

Mine's close to this - no lift or level and tires are 285/75R18, which comes out to be 34.8x11.2. If anyone wants pics I can take some this weekend when it's nice out. My opinion it's real close to rubbing at full lock and flex - haven't tried to confirm. There is a portion of the wheel well that sticks out, seems to be potential culprit. Right now I haven't heard any rub while driving, rims I believe are +18.

Would be curious how a 12.50 tires with same rim backspacing would do. I would think without lvl kit tire would rub on that part of the inner wheel well.

I ordered some 35/12.5 /20 on new +18 wheels. Should be in tomorrow. I will keep y'all posted.
