I have been looking at Rough Country 9232 , 2 inch leveling coil springs for the front of my 2016 1500 2wd for $149. My questions are other than appearance what will this do to my handling and feel while driving? What would it cost to have these installed? My build sheet says raised ride height, make any difference? I will be running the OEM 20's that came on the truck . Anyone have pics of their 2wd after installing these? and your experience with them. Thanks in advance.

If anything I would assume they are softer than factory so should ride a little more like a Cadillac. You may want some shock extensions, I am
Not sure why they don’t have them on the kit. I believe most 2wd trucks lift via spring or spindle. Not to many people here lift or lvl their 2 by, at least not as many that have 4x4. Check these guys out below as well, and take 5 minutes one day and just call rough country and inquire about the spring and call cst and inquire about the spindle.

Everything I saw said “ Non Hemi” But that can’t be right, so definitly call them.

Thanks for the reply RatKet, I will call Rough country, if these coils will level the front for $149 this is what I will do, the ad from RC says you can use your existing shocks and as I only have 9000 miles on my RAM I want to leave it as is.

I was in the same predicament.. it was a pain. This is what I used (Maxtrac Suspension 872171) for my 2014 Ram 1500 SLT. It’s a little pricy, but it’s worth it. I called around asking for a price to have them installed. It ended up being $220. Other places wanted 500 and 800, so just call around. I didn’t feel a difference in the handling or feel of drive until I put the bigger tires on. Also, if you look at the reviews on Amazon, I don’t know why they’re negative. I’ve been on them for 15k miles now and no problems.

the last pic of your truck looks great Derango, I called RC but not open on Sunday, will call tomorrow, from everything I've read these coils should do the trick + I have a buddy who will probably help if shop is to expensive, he has the lift and coil compressor.

Max trac stuff isn’t a bad option either, and it looks like it comes with longer shocks too, may be a better kit than the rough country

I would rather keep my like new shocks and use the less expensive RC coils, say's you don't need to replace your shocks on their site. The Max trac does have some bad reviews and is more $$$ but yes may be a option. Will see what RC says tomorrow though.

Spoke to RC, the rep said these coils are all I need to level my RAM, I went ahead and ordered, had a Amazon gift card so only $70 out of pocket .Now I'm looking around to see about installation.

I will be watching for updates. I am to looking to level out my '17 sport. I would rather go up than down. I went down in my '08 silverado and there have been several times in the past couple of years that I wish I would have left it alone or leveled up due to high water issues here in Louisiana. From what I have been reading as well is replacing the upper ball joint or the whole arm. I priced those out for $120ish for both sides. I don't remember the brand but it starts with an M and the 4by guys rave about the better quality. You have to take them loose to install the springs and it looks all you do is remove to bolts holding them in.

Any update on this? I bought 3 inch spacers but am honestly thinking of returning them to buy this kit instead. I haven't read anything negative (however I haven't found many people who have used these).

If you wouldn't mind taking a before and after pic and a measurement of how much it actually lifts the front end. I would greatly appreciate it. I am on the cusp of doing the exact same thing. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
