Leveling kit for 2wd

I have a 2011 1500 4.7 and it’s a 2wd

I inherited it from my grandpa and have been customizing it to my liking.

One thing I want to have installed is a leveling kit, probably a 2.5-3 inch for the front, just to get it leveled.

I don’t know much about these kits or what else I should have changed to keep the ride smooth. Do I change the shocks or anything else? Any info would be helpful thanks!
