I am thinking of getting a 2 or 2.5 leveling kit on the truck that I am in the process of negotiating. I have a couple of questions:

1) Which would be better on a 2019 Ram - 2.0 or 2.5 inch?
2) Is this something that the dealership can do and still be able to honor the warranty or will this void the warranty?
3) Are there any aftermarket options that are better than the Mopar leveling kits?

Pardon me for my ignorance of leveling kits. Thanks for answers.

For my situation as long as I went with their oem Mopar 2” lift and they installed it, they had no warranty issues. Now personally I know they can not void your warranty unless proving what was added, caused the problem. What they can do is put you on the back burner and stress you out going toe to toe with them about it. I come from a boxing background so I don’t mind digging in my heels. :)

Did you install a 2 inch lift kit or a 2 inch leveling kit? How much did the dealer charge you if you don't mind me asking? You can send a pm if you don't want to mention the cost here.

I was only thinking of a leveling kit in the front, but may consider a lift as well.

I should take up boxing on a second thought.. lol..

This is the lift that was installed and an alignment was done. The total cost on my end was $1900.00. I have no problem mentioning what I paid as I’m sure others will post they could have gotten it for less lol. 683555299e91a86b19e1401015b26146.jpg77895b63575b0dffdbc9f5546fa88545.jpg

That's a little too much for me at this point. I was looking for a simple leveling kit to bring up the front side a little bit .

Most of the leveling kits out now are 2" kits. I went with the Readylift levelikg kit with new control arms. I installed it myself, and took it to the dealer for the alignment.

The Moss Magnuson act protects you and says they can not void your warranty for and you installed. IF they can prove the leveling kit is what caused the issue than they can deny the claim but they have to be able to prove that it created the problem. If they can prove it, it only applies to the part that failed due to the mod. For instance, you install a leveling kit, then your motor blows up or your radio goes out, it is still covered under warranty. Now say your ball joint comes out and your wheel falls off, they will be able to prove the leveling kit is what caused it. But, all reputable lift companies stand by their product and warranty the parts and any issues that result, so the company you got the kit from would step in.

As far as leveling kits, Mopar doesn't have one at the moment. I went with Readylift as the new control arms gave me peace of mind. It is 2" and another half inch or so would make it completely level. It doesnt void your warranty but the dealership may try to tell you it does. Some dealers just dont like to deal with lifters trucks. They may give you some trouble but you would win out.

If you're concerned about suspension warranty you could do the Mopar 2" lift and only install the front of the kit and then maybe sell the left overs. I know that would be hard to justify though.

I did the Mopar kit over the weekend and there is still a slight rake. Had a local shop do the install. Total was $1600.

@DRkNESS

Did your ride improve with the lift?

Just curious as it may be a selling point if those shocks soak up any highway bumps better.

After going on a 700 mike trip, I can honestly say my ride is just as smooth as it was before my lift. Now of course I’m one of the few who have 18” wheels so that may have something to do with it ha ha ha.

I went with Readylift w/Upper Control Arm option Felt a long term safer option. On sale $451.00
Dodge dealer installed. $400.00
Alignment $125.00
NO change in ride quality View attachment 137974
Best option in my opinion. That's what I went for. Installed myself and took it to the dealer for alignment.

Just what I was looking for . I like some rake myself and want to make sure I get the stance I want , some rake yet , kit or setup . Our dealer has a local shop do lifts and no issues as dealer authorized . I still want some rake with stock suspension . The front end is too low for pasture cruising . Anyone got the golden answer ? LOL , I get to do this once . I do pull a SXS trailer , small boat and small camper so I don't want to be **** hunting with the headlights when hooked to something at night . I have a WDH for the camper kinda none issue but tongue weight of other trailers Its 200-250 lbs loaded . What do I need ?

I put 2" front spacers on and a set of 33" tires.
I think the stance is just right.
The ride is a little stiffer but that is to be expected when running 10 plys...

I had a 2” level installed then had an issue with my right strut. I took it back to the place that installed it twice they kept saying they didn’t hear anything and pointing out other things inside my truck like a bottle or anything that could move. Btw it was a tump and squeak over bumps. I took it back to the dealer they fixed it by replythe struct they said it locked up, then told me they’ll cover it this time but since I got a level installed that’s not molar and not by them it voids the warranty. I asked if I could just purchase one from them and have them installed it and they said I don’t see why not. Unfortunately they don’t just have the level you have to buy the lift kit so I’ll wait until a level is available and have them install it.

New to the truck world and the forum so please be gentle with me. I have a couple questions about this thread.

1. What is the purpose of leveling the truck?

2. If you level doesn’t that mess up the headlight alignment when towing? Does the alignment get messed up anyways even if not leveled when towing?

Thanks in advance for replies and learning the new guy :chair:
